We are a book club based in Oxford, and we meet once a month to have a friendly, social evening discussing a book that has been chosen by members in the previous months.  We are people that enjoy reading, enjoy discussing our thoughts and opinions, and enjoy meeting new people.  The Folio Book Club was founded in 2012 by three friends who are all graduates from Oxford.  They wanted a warm, welcoming book club to join but found that there was no formal book clubs in the area, so decided to start one up themselves.  It has gradually gained regular members and it now one of the largest book clubs in Oxford.

Meetings are held once a month in local pubs or in larger meeting halls (with refreshments provided), and the group aims to provide a friendly relaxed atmosphere with lively discussion about the current read of the month.

If you are interested in seeing what we do, then email us for details, or submit the 'Become a Member' form.  We are free to join, and have no limit on numbers so encourage anyone who wants to come along to do so!  We have a range of members, aged from 13-90!  We welcome everyone who loves to read, who love a good discussion, and who like to socialise and meet new people. Everyone is welcome!

This website lists all our present, past and future reads, so you can decide if you want to join in the discussion and which weeks.  There will also be blog posts from each meeting that highlight the main points made in the discussion and what members thought about the book overall.

The website also has a 'News' page that you can browse if you are interested in reading, and contains news, reviews and new releases from the world of books.

Our website and group also has links with The Local Book Shop in Oxford and members can get a discount when purchasing books in store or online.  Just follow the link on the left of the page.
